This week, the popular non-alcoholic craft beer brewer, Partake Brewing, has announced that they have raised $16.5 Million USD in their series B round of funding.
The funding came from the investment firms PowerPlant Ventures, Amberstone, CircleUp Growth Partners, Barrel Ventures, and McLean & Associates.
Partake Brewing had originally been self-funded since their founding in 2017 and raised $4 Million USD in their series A round of funding back in 2020.
A leader and first-mover in the craft non-alcoholic beer space here in North America, Alberta-based Partake Brewing has paved the way into a growing market, raising awareness of great-tasting NA beer across both US and Canada.
About Partake Non-Alcoholic Beer
Partake Brewing is on a mission to redefine non-alcoholic beer.
Very similar to our mission at NA Beer Club, they want to prove that giving up booze doesn’t mean giving up your social life and freedom.
Founded in 2017, founder Ted Fleming decided to give up alcohol but didn’t want to give up his social life. Frustrated with lack of quality choices, he decided to make his own.
Now the company offers a long line of delicious, craft NA beers. Their styles range everywhere from Red Ales, to IPAs, to Stouts.
Why this is funding big news for NA beer brewers and drinkers
For a while now, the idea of non-alcoholic beer hasn’t fully been taken seriously in North America. People often don’t see the point of non-alcoholic beer, don’t believe NA beer can taste great, or believe that non-alcoholic drinks are just for ‘sober’ people.
A round of funding like this proves to brewers, consumer, and other investors, that there is legitimacy behind NA beer and that it’s here to stay.
It shows investors and brewers that there is opportunity to sell NA beer, which means more brewers will start making their own. With a larger supply of NA beer, there’s more opportunity for consumer to try and love it, which further strengthens the cycle.
With this big news, we can’t wait to see what new NA beers, and NA beer companies will show up next!
