About Trail Pass Golden
Introducing the Trail Pass IPA from Sierra Nevada – a non-alcoholic beer that promises a relentless journey of taste. This brew takes aficionados on a sensory trek with its pronounced hoppy notes, boasting a blend of Amarillo® and CTZ hops. These hops impart a vibrant fusion of citrus and pine flavors, defining the essence of the Trail Pass IPA.
Crafted with precision, this non-alcoholic IPA showcases a smooth malt body paired with a clean hop bitterness, a signature trait of Sierra Nevada’s renowned IPAs. Remarkably, it maintains these robust flavors while keeping the alcohol content below 0.5% ABV.
James Conery, the Innovation Brewmaster at Sierra Nevada, praises the Trail Pass IPA for its authenticity and quality, asserting that it stands on par with traditional craft IPAs in terms of flavor and craftsmanship.
Slated for nationwide release in January 2024, the Trail Pass IPA is currently available in select states, including California, Colorado, and Washington. Additionally, there is an option for direct shipping, albeit within a limited area.
This IPA, with its 35 IBU, is a testament to Sierra Nevada’s commitment to crafting exceptional non-alcoholic options that don’t compromise on taste or quality. Whether you’re a long-time IPA lover or exploring the non-alcoholic beer scene, the Trail Pass IPA is set to be a noteworthy addition to the market.
About Sierra Nevada
Chico, CA
Sierra Nevada’s “Trail Pass” series represents a notable foray into the realm of non-alcoholic beers, standing out for its adherence to traditional brewing methods.
Unlike many non-alcoholic beers that rely on alcohol removal techniques, Trail Pass maintains its authenticity by brewing directly to the desired flavor profile while keeping the alcohol content below the 0.5% ABV threshold. This approach is a testament to Sierra Nevada’s commitment to the craft spirit, ensuring that each sip delivers a taste that is unmistakably beer.
The journey to perfecting this line was not a swift one; it involved a rigorous development process spanning five years. This extensive period of experimentation and refinement was crucial in achieving the balance and fullness in flavor that Trail Pass is now known for. Sierra Nevada’s dedication to their craft is evident in this achievement, showcasing their ability to innovate within the non-alcoholic beer segment while staying true to traditional brewing values.
The result is a product that doesn’t just mimic the characteristics of beer but authentically embodies them, offering a genuine beer experience without the alcohol.

refreshing
drank this after a bit of a workout, and found it to be really tasty. not bitter at all, a light taste but not a “light beer” taste. I find it to be one of the top 2 na’s I’ve tried.

Clean crisp fresh
This ale, though labeled golden and described as an IPA is actually better than any of those. It has a strong barley malt backbone, clean taste, slight astringent to keep any cloying flavors and fast attenuation at the finish. Favorite so far .
