Non-alcoholic craft brewer, Athletic Brewing Company, was recently ranked the 27th largest producer of craft beer in the United States.
It should be noted that this ranking is for all craft beer brewers, not just non-alcoholic brewers.
Top 50 Producing Craft Brewers in America
On April 5, 2022, the Brewers Association, which is a trade association for independent craft brewers in America, produced a list of the top 50 most producing craft breweries in the United States in 2021.
This list includes many craft brewers we’ve all heard of such as Yuengling, Bell’s, Deschutes, etc.
Ranking 27th is Athletic Brewing Company, based out of Stratford, CT.
Athletic ranked above popular breweries such as Rhinegeist Brewery out of Cincinnati, Kona Brewing from Hawaii, and Narragansett Brewing from Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Top 50 Overall Producing Breweries
Outside of just craft breweries, the Brewers Association also ranked the top 50 producing overall breweries.
Impressively, once again, Athletic Brewing Company ranked 36th.
What this means for Non-Alcoholic Beer
This is an extraordinary win for the non-alcoholic beer industry.
Athletic Brewing is strictly a non-alcoholic beer brewer and is proving to the world that it can compete among the top brewers in the country.
Years ago nobody would have thought that a brewery dedicated to brewing beer with an ABV of less than 0.5% would become this popular.
However, Athletic has broken the expectation and become a top 50 brewer.
Hopefully, this is an inspiration for other brewers to start up or invest more in the non-alcoholic space.
