Deschutes Brewery, in collaboration with Patagonia Provisions, has crafted NA Kernza Golden Brew, a premium non-alcoholic lager that combines sustainability with exceptional flavor. This Certified Organic beer delivers a bright, crisp, and refreshing experience, with an alcohol content of less than 0.5%.
Launched in 2024, the brew’s unique character comes from its thoughtfully sourced ingredients, including Certified Organic Kernza®—a perennial grain renowned for its soil-saving and carbon-capturing properties. It also features Regenerative Organic Certified® rye malt, malted 2-row barley, and organic Helios and Adeena hops, all chosen for their environmental benefits. By using regenerative farming practices, these ingredients support soil health, reduce erosion, promote biodiversity, and safeguard waterways, making the beer as sustainable as it is enjoyable.

About Deschutes Brewery
Bend, Oregon
Deschutes Brewery has always been rooted in the belief that good beer has the power to bring people together. Founded in 1988 by Gary Fish in downtown Bend, Oregon, the brewery began as a small brewpub named after the nearby Deschutes River. Gary envisioned it as a gathering place—a welcoming spot where friends, family, and neighbors could connect over house-brewed pints and delicious food. In its first year, the brewery produced just 310 barrels of beer, but it quickly gained a loyal following as word spread about the quality of its offerings and its sense of community.
Fast forward to today, Deschutes Brewery has grown into one of the most recognized names in craft beer, producing over 225,000 barrels annually. Its reach extends far beyond its Oregon roots, with Deschutes beers available in all 50 U.S. states and even internationally. The company has expanded its presence with additional locations, including a brewery and tasting room just a mile from its original site in Bend and a second public house in downtown Portland, Oregon. Despite this growth, the brewery has stayed true to its founding mission: building community through great beer.
